A bit about me...
Hello, I am Helen - that's me, captured by one of my awesome second shooters (they can be sneaky like that you see, clicking away when you have no idea that you are being photographed!). Photography has been an interest of mine from an early age and I use to spend quite a bit of time at my Grandparents house flicking through all the old family photo albums and some I am lucky enough to still have.
Photography to me captures 'moments' that we can look back on and remember. This is what I aim to do for you, capture you and your loved ones through my lens and to hopefully at times have you smiling during the process, as I love what I do and tend to have a bit of fun whilst doing it!
I live in Pohangina Valley, Manawatu, New Zealand, with my partner Nick, son Hector (our threenager) and our two dogs, which is also where I work from my home studio.
I have completed a Diploma in Photographic Imaging (UCOL). Worked and trained as a photographer for the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) & New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) and worked as a photographer for the Western Australian Newspapers Limited (Kalgoorlie, WA). I am also a member of The New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers (NZIPP).
